Privacy Policy

1. In short

The publisher does not receive personal data from ScreenTest WK. The app does not transmit personal data to the publisher. Manual screen-checking patterns, touch visualization and technical information are displayed entirely on your device. If you choose to support the app, product information and the purchase are handled by Apple's App Store through StoreKit.

2. What data the app processes

To display its patterns, controls and technical information, the app processes only local data, including:

device name, model, system-reported identifiers, OS version, memory size, battery and thermal state,
system-reported display and rendering parameters: resolution, refresh rate on macOS, maximum animation frame rate available to the app on iOS/iPadOS, color gamut and brightness,
on macOS – display data from the system (including serial numbers and EDID metadata: manufacturer, product code and manufacture date),
touch positions while the touch visualizer is open (only on the device),
checklist observations and notes entered by the user.

This data is used solely to display information and create a user-requested HTML summary. It never leaves the device unless the user explicitly shares that summary.

3. Exported summaries

The HTML summary is created locally and saved or shared only at the user's explicit request (the save dialog on macOS, the system share sheet on iOS/iPadOS). The publisher has no access to its contents.

4. Optional support purchases

The app offers optional, consumable in-app purchases that let you support its development. Apple processes the payment under the Apple Privacy Policy. The app uses StoreKit to retrieve product information and temporarily process the product identifier, transaction identifier and transaction status required to handle and finish the purchase. The publisher does not receive your Apple Account credentials, card number or bank details.

The app does not send purchase information to the publisher's servers, create a user profile or unlock features after a purchase. Apple may provide the publisher with sales and financial reports under Apple's terms.

5. What the app does NOT do

does not transmit personal data or advertising identifiers to the publisher or third parties,
does not track or profile the user,
contains no ads and no third-party analytics SDKs,
sends no data to the publisher's or analytics servers,
requires no account.

6. System permissions

The app does not request access to location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera.

7. Children

The app is not directed at children. The publisher receives no personal data from anyone, including minors.

8. Changes to this policy

The current version of this privacy policy is always available at this address. Material changes will be noted along with their effective date.

9. Function disclaimer

ScreenTest WK displays visual patterns, touch events supplied by the operating system and system-reported technical information, and records the user's own observations. It does not inspect the physical panel, automatically diagnose hardware, confirm whether a defect is present or absent, verify part authenticity, or replace an assessment by Apple or a qualified service provider. Observations depend on the device model, viewing conditions and the person performing the check.
